Save basic health care clinics!
Rising costs of health spending make city of Kotka save more and more. Residents must receive adequate and quality health care regardless of age and wealth.
It was not wise to make down small health care clinicks like maternity clinics (finnish=neuvola) what were near of people. Central Hospital of Kymenlaakso (in Kotka)should have financially safeguarded as smaller health care units in Karhula and Karhuvuori.
Early detection and treatment, particularly preventive health work is the best option for everyone.
Night and weekend on-call has already been centralized to the Central hospital. Perhaps all emergency patients would be able to visit a hospital emergency department centralized. X-rays, blood tests, etc. Studies in the same place would bring savings, which can maintain a network of clinics and good health service.
Children in increase in allergies and asthma can be prevented by ensuring that schools and kindergartens in well ventilated areas. Repairing problem schools must done well and fast. Including kindergartens and schools, good quality food and cleanliness (no additives) is a preventive health care at its best.
